- Have Ss play the game: Noughts and Crosses

III. New lesson: 25’

1. look , listen and repeat: 13’

-Have ss look at the picture and identify the characters and what they are doing.

-Introduce the dialogue.

-Elicit some words. phone number, birthday present, mobile phone

-Play the recording for the ss.

-Play again, have ss listen and repeat.

-Have ss read the dialogue.

-Check some pairs.

2. Point and say :12’

-Have ss look at the picture and identify the characters and what they are doing.

- Elicit sentence patterns :What’s your phone number? -> It’s………

- Aks ss to work in pairs to ask and answer.

- Call on some pairs to perform IV. Consolidation: (4’)

Lesson 2 I. Objectives:

- Knowledge:By the end of the lesson, students will be able to accept and decline an invitation.

- Skills: develop listening and speaking.

II. Language contents:

- Vocabulary: tomorrow, go for a picnic, go for a walk, go fishing, go skating.

- Sentence patterns : Would you like to go for a picnic? -> I’d love to./ Sorry, I can’t.

III. Teaching aids: Text book, pictures, recording...

V. Procedures:

- Greeting

- Checking for the students' attendance.

II.Warm up (4’)

- Have ss play the game: Jumbled letters.

III. New lesson: 25’

1. Look, listen and repeat. 9’

-Have Ss to look at the book at page 54

-Elicit the character and have Ss guess what they are saying.

-Set the scene: we are going accept and decline an invitation.

- Have Ss listen to the recording as they read the lines in the speech bubbles

-Play the recording again for Ss to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles two times.

-Divide the class into two groups to repeat.

-Play the recording again for the whole class to repeat each line in the speech bubbles to reinforce their pronunciation.

2. Point and say : 8’

- Have ss look at the picture and identify the characters.

- Elicit vocabulary: tomorrow, go for a picnic, go for a walk, go fishing, go skating.

- Elicit sentence patterns : Would you like to go for a picnic? -> I’d love to./ Sorry, I can’t.

- Say: “ You are going to accept and decline an invitation.

- Play the game:

Lesson 3 I. Objectives:

- Knowledge:By the end of the lesson, students will be able to pronounce two syllable words with the stress on the second syllable. Listen and circle; and read the chant: I’d like to invite you to my party

- Skills: develop listening and reading skills.

II. Language contents:

- Vocabulary: sitting, invite, party, enjoy,by the sea.

III. Teaching aids: Text book, pictures, recording...

V. Procedures:

- Have Ss play the game: Slap the board.

- Play the tape and ask Ss to listen.

- Play the tape again and ask Ss to repeat each line of the text in chorus.

- Have Ss read in groups/ in pairs.

2. Listen and circle…. 8’

- Have Ss look at the words in part 2 (p.56 ) to identify where they are and set up the task.

- Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and circle.

- Play the recording again pupils check their answers.

- Check and correct.

3. Let’s chant: 8’

- Introduce the chant: I’d like to invite you to my party

-Turn on the tape.

- Ps listen to the tape and repeat the chant.

-Teacher reinforce their pronunciation IV. Consolidation: (4’)
