选题理由

Language is the most vital communication tool for humans, and its effective use is essential for successful interactions As the saying goes, "The same words can be expressed in various ways," highlighting that skilled communicators can convey meaning more effectively than those who struggle with language Thus, speaking and writing are not just basic skills but also forms of art that can significantly impact communication outcomes.

For foreign language learners, mastering the five essential skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation is crucial, but writing often proves to be the most challenging Many learners find their sentences lack vitality and imagination, primarily due to a limited vocabulary and insufficient understanding of rhetorical techniques One significant factor contributing to this issue is the ineffective use of adjectives, particularly the inability to apply adjective reduplication, which hinders the richness and expressiveness of their writing.

Chinese adjectives are incredibly rich and serve as a vital component of the language's vocabulary, much like countless pearls in the night sky One of the typical features of Chinese is the phenomenon of adjective reduplication, which showcases the language's expressive power and vitality This grammatical characteristic vividly illustrates scenarios, enhances the sense of reality, and delicately and dynamically reproduces various feelings and actions within sentences.

Vietnamese shares similar grammatical phenomena with Chinese, exhibiting common grammatical meanings and functions, yet differing in specific expressions This discrepancy poses challenges for Vietnamese learners when using the Chinese adjective reduplication form An examination of assignments from intermediate students revealed a low frequency of adjective reduplication, particularly with monosyllabic adjectives, and frequent errors, such as the incorrect usage in the sentence, "I feel too heavy in my heart."

In examining intermediate Chinese language textbooks used at several universities in Vietnam, we observed a high frequency of reduplicated adjectives in Chinese However, there is limited explanation regarding the grammatical significance, functions, and other characteristics of this linguistic phenomenon, particularly concerning monosyllabic adjective reduplication Most Chinese textbooks are published in China and lack comparative sections with corresponding forms in Vietnamese, making it challenging for students to use monosyllabic adjective reduplication flexibly, often influenced by their native language Based on these observations, we aim to conduct a thorough analysis of monosyllabic adjective reduplication in Chinese, compare it with its Vietnamese equivalents, assess the current teaching situation, identify error sources, and provide constructive suggestions for Chinese language instruction in Vietnam.

研究目的

This paper aims to deepen the understanding of Chinese language culture, particularly focusing on the phenomenon of reduplication in monosyllabic adjectives in Chinese It conducts a thorough investigation into this linguistic feature.

+ 对汉越单音节形容词重叠式进行考察,并指出两者的异同。

Vietnamese students often encounter difficulties when using Chinese monosyllabic adjective reduplication, leading to common errors These mistakes stem from their native language influence and a lack of familiarity with Chinese linguistic structures Understanding these challenges is essential for developing targeted teaching strategies that can enhance their proficiency in using this aspect of the Chinese language.

The concept of reduplication in modern Chinese adjectives is a significant linguistic feature This phenomenon involves the repetition of adjectives to convey various nuances and intensities Understanding the structure and function of these reduplicated forms enhances comprehension of modern Chinese language dynamics.

The definition of reduplicated monosyllabic adjectives in modern Chinese highlights their unique structure and function in the language These adjectives, characterized by their repetition, convey emphasis and intensify meaning, playing a significant role in everyday communication Understanding their usage is essential for grasping the nuances of modern Chinese expression.

The definition of modern Chinese adjectives encompasses their role in describing and modifying nouns, highlighting their significance in conveying attributes and characteristics within the language.

In Chinese, there is a category of words known as adjectives, which are used to describe the shape, nature, or actions of people or things, as well as the changes in their behaviors.

Adjectives are words that convey qualities and states, describing the characteristics of objects (e.g., good, bad, tall, long) as well as the nature of actions and behaviors (e.g., fast, slow, serious, hot).

Cross-linguistic studies indicate that adjectives primarily function as modifiers and predicates in sentences, with their most significant role being that of modifiers In essence, adjectives are one of the major parts of speech, enhancing the clarity and vividness of statements.

The definition of reduplication and its base form in modern Chinese is crucial for understanding the language's structure Reduplication refers to the repetition of words or syllables to convey different meanings or grammatical functions The base form serves as the foundational element from which these variations emerge, highlighting the dynamic nature of modern Chinese linguistics.
