选题理由

Language is the most crucial communication tool for humans, and its effective use significantly impacts the outcome of interactions As the saying goes, "the same words can be expressed in various ways," highlighting that skilled communicators can evoke laughter while those less adept may elicit discomfort This demonstrates that conveying the same message can yield vastly different results depending on one's ability to speak or write effectively Thus, both speaking and writing are forms of art that require mastery.

For foreign language learners, mastering the five essential skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation is crucial However, writing often poses the greatest challenge, as learners frequently find their sentences lacking in vitality and imagination This issue primarily stems from a limited vocabulary and insufficient understanding of rhetorical devices, particularly the effective use of adjectives One significant factor contributing to this challenge is the inability to utilize adjective reduplication, which can enhance the expressiveness of their writing.

Chinese adjectives are incredibly rich, akin to countless pearls in the starry sky, forming a vital part of the Chinese vocabulary One of the typical features of the language is the phenomenon of adjective reduplication This grammatical characteristic showcases exceptional expressive power and vitality, vividly illustrating scenarios in sentences, enhancing the sense of reality, and intricately and vividly reproducing certain feelings and dynamics.

Vietnamese shares similar grammatical phenomena with Chinese, exhibiting common grammatical meanings and functions, yet differences in expression exist These discrepancies pose challenges for Vietnamese learners using the Chinese adjective reduplication form An examination of assignments from intermediate students revealed a low frequency of adjective reduplication, particularly with monosyllabic adjectives, often leading to errors such as, "I feel too heavy in my heart."

In examining intermediate Chinese textbooks used in several Vietnamese universities, we observed a high frequency of the overlapping form of Chinese adjectives, particularly monosyllabic ones However, there is limited explanation regarding the grammatical significance, functions, and other characteristics of this linguistic phenomenon Most Chinese textbooks are published in China and lack comparative sections with corresponding forms in Vietnamese, making it challenging for students to use monosyllabic adjective overlaps flexibly, often influenced by their native language Based on these observations, we will conduct a detailed analysis of monosyllabic adjective overlaps in Chinese and compare them with their Vietnamese counterparts, assess the current teaching situation, identify sources of errors, and provide references for improving Chinese language instruction in Vietnam.

The concept of reduplication in modern Chinese adjectives refers to the repetition of adjectives to enhance meaning or express a certain nuance This linguistic feature plays a significant role in enriching the language, allowing for greater expressiveness and emphasis Understanding the application of this structure can provide deeper insights into modern Chinese grammar and its usage in everyday communication.

The definition of reduplicated monosyllabic adjectives in modern Chinese involves the repetition of a single-syllable adjective to enhance its meaning or express intensity This linguistic feature plays a significant role in the richness of modern Chinese, allowing for nuanced descriptions and emotional emphasis Understanding this concept is essential for grasping the complexities of modern Chinese language and its expressive capabilities.

The definition of modern Chinese adjectives encompasses their role in describing nouns, expressing qualities, states, or characteristics These adjectives are integral to sentence structure, providing clarity and detail in communication Understanding their function is essential for mastering modern Chinese language usage.

In Chinese, there exists a category of words known as adjectives, which are used to describe the shape, nature, or actions of people or objects, as well as the changes in their behaviors.

Adjectives are words that describe qualities and states, conveying the nature or condition of things, such as good, bad, tall, or long They can also reflect the characteristics of actions or behaviors, indicated by terms like fast, slow, serious, or hot.

Research across languages indicates that adjectives primarily serve as modifiers and predicates, with their most significant role being that of an attributive Therefore, it can be stated that adjectives are one of the key parts of speech, enhancing the clarity and vividness of sentences.

The definitions of reduplicated forms and base forms in modern Chinese are essential for understanding the language's structure Reduplicated forms enhance meaning and express nuances, while base forms serve as the foundational elements of words Recognizing the distinction between these two forms is crucial for mastering modern Chinese grammar and vocabulary.
