3 Mục tiêu của học phần:

Kiến thức:

- Người học có đủ từ vựng, kiến thức để có thể theo dõi và hiểu được những bài nói dài về những chủ đề phức tạp và trừu tượng, các cuộc trò chuyện sôi nổi giữa những người bản ngữ, những tranh luận hay lập luận mang tính trừu tượng, những thông tin cần thiết khi nghe các thông báo qua các phương tiện thông tin đại chúng.

- Người học có thể diễn đạt ý một cách trôi chảy và tức thời, gần như không gặp khó khăn.

Có thể sử dụng tốt một vốn từ vựng lớn, đủ khả năng xử lý khi thiếu từ bằng lối nói vòng vo, thể hiện bản thân một cách trôi chảy, tự nhiên và không cần phải quá nỗ lực Làm chủ được vốn

từ vựng và có thể dễ dàng biến báo trong những tình huống quanh co Không còn phải tìm kiếm cách diễn đạt hay tìm cách né tránh câu hỏi.

Kỹ năng:

- Người học có kỹ năng nghe hiểu các thông tin cụ thể nhất định từ các thông báo công cộng với âm thanh có nhiễu như ở nhà ga, sân bay v.v ; kỹ năng nghe hiểu các thông tin kỹ thuật phức tạp như hướng dẫn vận hành, chi tiết kỹ thuật, các sản phẩm và dịch vụ quen thuộc; kỹ năng nghe hiểu được nhiều loại tài liệu phát thanh, truyền hình có sử dụng ngôn ngữ không chuẩn mực; kỹ năng nhận biết được các chi tiết tinh tế bao gồm cả thái độ và mối quan hệ hàm

ẩn giữa những người giao tiếp; kỹ năng nghe hầu hết các bài giảng cũng như các cuộc thảo luận

và tranh luận.

- Người học rèn luyện kỹ năng nói trong tình huống thực tế, kỹ năng thuyết trình, thể hiện tốt vai trò của người phỏng vấn và người được phỏng vấn, kỹ năng biểu đạt cảm xúc, nói bóng gió, nói đùa; khả năng lập luận một cách có hệ thống, nhấn mạnh được những điểm quan trọng bằng những chi tiết minh họa liên quan.

Thái độ:

Người học có thái độ học tập tốt, tích cực tham gia vào các hoạt động trên lớp cũng như các hoạt động nhóm Hình thành cho người học thái độ học tập tích cực, chủ động và tư duy sáng tạo Người học phải ý thức được tầm quan trọng của việc tự học, tự nghiên cứu tài liệu, làm bài tập lớn, làm việc theo nhóm,v.v ngoài giờ học trên lớp.

4 Tóm tắt nội dung học phần:

- Học phần bao gồm 12 nội dung chính được sắp xếp lần lượt theo các bài trong hai học liệu bắt

buộc Improve Ielts Listening and Speaking và Real Listening and Speaking 4 Mỗi nội dung bài học

gồm 2 phần: (1) Listening: Người học được trang bị từ vựng, kiến thức nền, kỹ năng để có thể nghe hiểu nội dung các bài nói có chủ đề khác nhau; (2) Speaking: Người học phát triển các kỹ năng nói nâng cao như kỹ năng thuyết trình, lập luận, phỏng vấn, trả lời phỏng vấn
