I Objectives: After the lesson, students will be able to know more about ao dai, traditional dress

of Vietnamese women

1 Grammar: The passive (review).

to choose sizes, colors, and fashions of clothes that they love.

Thirdly, casual clothes make students feel self-confident when they are in their favorite

-Remind Ss of present perfect tense:

Form: S + have/ has + past participle

Use:

+ The present perfect is used to talk about

something which started in the past and continues up

to present

Ex: I haven’t known him for seven months

“Since & For” are used to say how long something

has been happening

Since + point of time.

For + period of time

+ The present perfect is used to talk about something

which started in the past which indefinite time

Ex: Have you ever been to Hanoi?

Have you eaten Special Chinese Fried rice yet?

Yes, I’ve already eaten it

No, I’ve never eaten it

“Already” is used to say something has happened

sooner than expected; and only used in affirmative

and interrogative sentences.

“Yet” is used to say something has not happened

but we expect to happen; and only used in negative

and interrogative sentences.

“Ever” is used in negative and interrogative

sentences with meaning ”at any time”
