As an English major at Duy Tan University, I continuously explore various sources of knowledge about translation, including books, magazines, and online resources I have come to understand that translation serves as a vital means of sharing information and cultural insights across countries and communities.

In "The Culture Code" (2018), Daniel Coyle, a New York Times bestselling author, explores the inner workings of some of the world's most effective organizations, uncovering the secrets behind their success He identifies crucial elements that foster team cohesion across various contexts, analyzing both verbal and physical cues that unite individuals Coyle outlines specific strategies to promote collaboration and build trust while sharing cautionary tales of toxic cultures and offering guidance on reforming them Ultimately, he illustrates the remarkable achievements that can arise from effective cooperation.

I have a keen interest in understanding group dynamics, which led me to explore the influential book, *The Culture Code* by Daniel Coyle This groundbreaking work combines cutting-edge science with practical insights, revealing how successful groups function and transforming our approach to collaboration I aim to leverage my knowledge and skills to create a comprehensive translation of Chapter 13, ensuring it receives high praise for its accuracy and clarity.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

This graduation paper is aimed at:

- Improving my translating skills and analyzing ability.

- Dealing with problems and difficulties with translation, vocabulary, and structure.

- Recommending the book to Vietnamese readers who are interested in studying how the group work

SCOPE OF THE STUDY

The book delves into the dynamics of both large and small groups, emphasizing the importance of understanding how these groups function to enhance cooperation and relationships Due to time constraints, I have chosen to focus on Chapter 13, titled “Three Hundred and Eleven Words,” which consists of 4,646 words for translation and analysis This chapter from Daniel Coyle's 2018 book, "The Culture Code," provides valuable insights into group dynamics and effective communication strategies.

The book “The Culture Code” is a work of Daniel Coyle shows how an organizational culture built on the fabric of relationships can lead to phenomenal success.

In conclusion, translation serves as a vital tool for overcoming language barriers, fostering global understanding of diverse religions and cultures Its unique nature allows for varied interpretations and perspectives, highlighting the multifaceted role of translation in communication.

Classification

There are some types of categories of translation defined in terms of extent, levels, and ranks of translation.

The distinction in translation extends to the completeness of the process J.C Carford (1965) defines a full translation as one where the entire source text is meticulously analyzed and transformed into the target language This involves replacing every element of the source language (SL) text with corresponding materials from the target language (TL), ensuring that the essence and meaning are preserved throughout the translation This approach is exemplified in the analysis of Chapter 13 from Daniel Coyle's "The Culture Code" (2018), highlighting the comprehensive nature of full translations.

In a partial translation, some part or parts of the SL text are left untranslated: they are simply transferred to and incorporated in the TL text.

This graduation paper presents an excellent opportunity for me to showcase my abilities, enhance my skills, and deepen my understanding of environmental issues Additionally, it allows me to acquire valuable experiences and insights into the translation process However, I also encounter numerous challenges while working on my graduation paper.

Despite gaining some knowledge about the environment, I struggled to fully comprehend and translate various vocabulary and phrases in the text I dedicated significant time to researching online, exploring documents, and utilizing multiple dictionaries to find appropriate meanings and achieve satisfactory results.

Understanding environmental vocabulary can be challenging, as many terms are not easily found in dictionaries This difficulty hinders my ability to provide precise meanings within specific contexts Additionally, some words have multiple meanings that vary based on usage, complicating my analysis Consequently, this process requires significant time and effort, resulting in a suggested version that lacks smoothness and natural flow.

As an English major, I faced challenges with the structure of compound-complex sentences, which often left me feeling anxious Additionally, my occasional lapses in grammar knowledge made it difficult for me to analyze these sentences clearly.

The internet is flooded with information from various sources, leading to a mix of accurate and inaccurate content This article provides an analysis of the suggested translation of Chapter 13 from Daniel Coyle's book, "The Culture Code" (2018) It examines the nuances and implications of the translation, highlighting its significance in understanding the core themes of the book.

SOLUTIONS

During the translating process of my graduation paper, I gained experiences of solving difficulties and challenges

To enhance my understanding of the book, I researched the author's background, which helped me grasp their unique voice and storytelling style This knowledge allows me to translate the text in a manner that closely aligns with the author's intended tone, ensuring that the message resonates with readers effectively.

After skimming the chapter to grasp its main ideas, I compiled a list of key phrases and challenging vocabulary With a clear understanding of the content, I proceeded to translate it thoroughly Additionally, I engaged in discussions with friends and my supervisor, while also conducting online research for further references.

To enhance the quality of my translation, I extensively consulted various dictionaries and relevant documents for challenging words and phrases Additionally, I sought feedback from friends and family to ensure clarity and comprehension in my work This collaborative approach significantly contributed to the improvement of my paper.

Moreover, I used many kinds of dictionaries, such as: English - Vietnamese dictionary of the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, Cambridge learner’s Dictionary, etc to find out the best meanings.

I have developed a strategic plan to efficiently complete my paper, ensuring timely progress Additionally, I received invaluable support from my instructor, Ms Bui Thi Kim Phung, M.A., who provided constructive feedback to enhance my work This paper focuses on the analysis of the suggested translation of Chapter 13 from Daniel Coyle's 2018 book, "The Culture Code."
