- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to introduce things and ask & answer objects in school.

II PREPARATIONS: Textbook, cassette player, tape. III PROCEDURES:

- Ask Ss to name some school things - Introduces “Today we will learn these things by English.”

- Answer: thước, cặp, bút mực, bút chì, cục

gơm, bàn, ghế, …

- Listen 2/ Presentation: (17’)

- Play the tape (2T)

- Guide Ss to read

- Elicit new words:

I New words:

a school bag(n) a door(n) a pen(n) a window(n) a pencil(n) a board(n) a ruler(n) a clock (n) an eraser

- Distinguish between “a” and “an”

II Grammar: 1.a/ an: 1

“a”: đứng trước phụ âm

“an”: đứng trước nguyên âm(u, e, o, a, i)

- Listen - Repeat

- Guess meaning

- Write down on notebook

- Take notes

3/ Practice: (17’)

- Shows any picture and asks Ss to tell the name

- Do as T’request

4/ Production: (6’)

- Introduces the function of “What is this?/ What is that/”

- Takes some pictures to make model and call some Ss make model

What is this? It is a ruler What’s that? It’s a door

- Asks Ss to practice in pair

- Listen and remember - Listen and practice

- Pair work 5/ Homework: (2’)

- Have Ss:

+ Learn by heart new words + Do exercise 1/p.14 (workbook)

- Write assignment
